Johan Cruyff (Soccer)
Hendrik Johannes Cruyff was a soccer player born April 25, 1947 in the Netherlands and unfortunately died on March 24, 2016. He is a very notable and skilled player and came second behind Pelé in their World Player of the Century award poll and is named in the FIFA 100 list of the world’s greatest living players. Cruyff started his career at Ajax. At Ajax, he won eight Eredivisie titles, three European Cups and one Intercontinental Cup.He then moved to Barcelona, to win La Liga and eventually won the Ballon d’Or. He retired in 1984 and became highly successful as manager of Ajax and later Barcelona. In his career, he scored a total of 433 goals. His name is still notable today when soccer players use his iconic “Cruyff Turn” in their set of skills (shown in video).
